Nancy Kiefer has written dozens of full-length and one-act plays, including three with Dramatic Publishing Company; The Illustrated Woman, The Eighth Order and Could Angels Be Blessed. Her play Gwen and Gwen is published with Samuel French, Inc. Her plays have been widely produced in her native Ohio and across the United States, including New York City (both off- and off-off Broadway); Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Memphis, Tenn.; many theatres in the Washington, D.C. area; Houston and Kansas City, to name a few. Kiefer has won many playwriting awards, including a Fourth Freedom Playwriting Award from the Kennedy Center for her Holocaust play, Radiant Boys. She is also the recipient of the Morton R. Sarett National Playwriting award from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, for A Place at the Feast of Love. Kiefer taught playwriting and screenwriting for 23 years at John Carroll University in Cleveland. Now retired, she continues to write and has no plans to stop anytime soon. Kiefer is a member of the Ohio Arts Council and The Dramatist Guild.
