William Lavender

William Lavender, author of the musical play The Invisible People, was originally educated in music and holds a masterÕs degree in musical composition from the University of Southern California. For some years he was staff composer and sound recording technician for a U.S. government informational film agency. Later, he became the author of historical novels (eight books published) and continues to work in that field. He and his wife, Mary, live in Riverside, Calif., and derive much pleasure from following the lives of their three children and three grandchildren. The story idea for The Invisible People was inspired by one of their sons who, as a child, had an imaginary friend.
